With a focus on orchestral composition and guitar, my aim as a composer is to merge ambient, rock, and symphonic styles to create soundtracks that add both texture and colour, whilst still recognising melody as a part of what makes music impactful.
Whilst generally favouring the electric guitar in my work, I am interested in the process of distorting and shaping the sounds of acoustic instruments, as well as sounds
captured out in the world.
Taking inspiration from speculative fiction, I like to ask a "what if..." when composing -- setting out in the everyday, but often drawn towards the surreal moments that pull us out of it.
